The Touring Kayak Club, Inc. was founded in 1927 by a group of people who loved the fun of being on the water and the sport of kayaking.
Members purchased the club building in 1946. It is located in City Island on beautiful Long Island Sound with access to all waters around New York. See Chart
TKC offers two boathouses for kayak storage, lockers, showers, kitchen, beach access, and a large deck and club room.
The Annual Boot Hill Cup Race was held on Saturday, August 12th. The race is approximately 4 miles long starting at the TKC club on City Island and going around Hart Island and 4 buoys. The weather was in the 80’s with light wind. Fifty people enjoyed the barbecue after the race.
